Vishwa Rup of Krishna

Shri Krishna - Supreme Personality of Godhead

It is a fact that Lord Krishna is the "Supreme Personality of Godhead". The nature of Hindu Gods and Goddesses has been discussed in my previous blogpost Understanding Hindu Gods and Goddesses. The fact that many of the saints have recognized unanimously, that Shri Krishna is the Ultimate GOD, puts at rest all arguments against him as not "Supreme Personality of Godhead", eventhough many Hindu sacred literature specifies that he was an Avataar of Lord Vishnu. This is because Shri Krishna himself says that he is the "Supreme Personality of Godhead" in Bhagawat Gita, the sacred book of Hindus.

Now, it is a well recognized thing that whatever GOD does, it will be for good. Maybe at the time of his doing things, people may not recognize the wisdom and goodness in what GOD or Shri Krishna does, but as time progresses, people are bound to recognize the correctness and divinity in the actions of Shri Krishna.

One such thing is the Raasa Leelas of Shri Krishna with Gopikas.

Shri Krishna used to mingle with Beautiful Gopikas, he used to cajole them, he used to entertain them, he used to make them mesmerasized with the music emanating from his flute. He acted as a perfect lover for those gopikas.

Now, one might say, that this fact of Shri Krishna's raasa leelas might be taken as an excuse, by all those people who see this an opportunity to have some innocent Gopikas and perform the same type of Raasa Leelas like Shri Krishna. That would be a folly.

It must be understood that Shri Krishna is the "Supreme Personality of Godhead". Essentially, he is the "Father, Mother, Friend, Enemy and Lover". And he treats each and every Living Being as a Soul. So, his entertaining of Gopikas with his Raasa Leelas should be seen as his "Mahima", through which he cleanses the minds of those "Souls", which will make them attain Moksha or Salvation. Ofcourse, one person or living being who comes nearer to  the Lord, gets his company and manages to get the love and affection, is sure to get blessings of the Lord.

Now, it is a well recognized fact that all living beings live in this "Material World". And God himself has permitted some rules and regulations to be followed by people, while they perform their daily chores. For example Kamasutra explicitly prohibits having sexual relations by men and women, whom they are not married with. Then how is it that Shri Krishna is doing his Raasa Leelas with a lot of women.

It is said that Lord Krishna had 40,000 wives. Vishnu Purana specifies that a man can have maximum 4 wives. So, is this not a contravention of rules and regulations, by a Human Being, Shri Krishna. Logically, all these rules and regulations should apply to him as well as he also was a human being, right ?

Well, it is written that the "Supreme Personality of Godhead" comes to this earth whenever there is decay in justice and injustice prospers. So, considering this, HE IS THE LIVING GOD.

Krishna and Gopikas

Shri Krishna with Gopikas

It is not that he is making an attempt to trap women with his charms. He just doesnt have to do that. Its women who fall for his charm, beauty, charisma, love and affection. His whole body is so beautiful, that not only Women get mesmerized by his "Aadayein" but also all animals like COWS find warmth when they feel his loving touch.

Then, one might ask, he has the option of turning down the requests of women to be their lover right ?

Well, it must be understood that Women are dealing with GOD. Anybody who comes to god, either with good intentions or bad intentions, is bound to either reap or suffer their consequences.

God is GOOD FOR GOOD PEOPLE and BAD FOR BAD PEOPLE. How can Shri Krishna turn away a woman, for that matter, a person who is pure by mind, Shri Krishna has the obligation to shower his graces upon that person. He is Karuna Saagar.

Krishna Judge

Shri Krishna ... Choose you want his Blessings or Material Wealth !

But, for all those people who are wicked and have sin in their minds, he is the great JUDGE who will make sure that they are made to pay for their wicked actions.

Eventhough, Shri Krishna appears to be engrossed in his Raasa Leelas with Gopikas, that is only for the eyes of Ignorant People. He is infact, Managing all the affairs in this UNIVERSE ... and still he appears to be enjoying the Raasa Leelas with Gopikas. While doing those Raasa Leelas, he is NOT ATTACHED TO THOSE RAASA LEELAS.

May i repeat, Lord Krishna always deals with each and every living being at an "Arms Length". It is because he recognizes that all these living beings are in the "Body of Humans or otherwise" ... and are entangled in the "Bhava Saagara" or "Ocean of worldly Paap or Punya" ... and ultimately all actions of Shri Krishna is just to make sure that all these souls reach their final destination ... that is attaining Salvation or Moksha ... and merge within himself.

You know, it is said in Bhagawad Gita, that a person should not imitate the actions of Shri Krishna. It is because, why Shri Krishna does what he does, cannot be comprehended by a normal human mind. Only great minds like Sages and Rushis are aware of what the Great Lord is doing and the consequences of such actions. So, based on this, we human beings are not permitted to have 40,000 wives ! ... like Shri Krishna had !

Now, when we deal with GOD or Shri Krishna we have to be very careful. We always have to ask for his blessings. This reminds me of a chapter in Sai Satcharita, wherein Shirdi Saibaba says that one "Bhaktha" can ask any number of questions to Lord Krishna. The only condition is that those questions should not be asked "To Test the Lord". If that is the case, then that "Bhaktha" is will eventually find himself in more and more "enganglements" in this material plane that he/she is living in.

Any question asked with a pure mind and with an urge to know, is what Shri Krishna expects.

If a question is asked with an unpure mind and to test the lord, then no wonder the lord turns into LORD PARASHURAMA ... and if a question is asked with a pure mind and with an urge to know, then he is LORD MURALIDHAR !

Parashurama

Lord Parashurama

That is what SHIRDI SAIBABA is ! ... Lord Muralidhar for good people ... Lord Parashurama for the rest !

Saibaba as Muralidhar

Shirdi Saibaba as Muralidhar

To conclude, people should look upon god as their saviour. Then should seek for his blessings ... which is much more than any "material wishes" that they crave for.
