as rightly pointed out by you ... it is indeed sad to note that tiger numbers in the country are dwindling at a fast rate ... and one of the reasons is the naxalites menace ...
and in the recent interview the Home Minister just declines to acknowldege that naxalites are the biggest internal security threat to india !
under these circumstances ... when the govt. is just unable to look into the human aspect of the naxal problem ... they giving attention to the tigers is just a remote possibility ...
hope the situation improves ... naxals are brought into the mainstream and the flora and fauna of the country is conserved to its mightiest best ...

well, there i one place called Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam, which runs a deemed university called "Sri Chandrasekharendra Saraswati Viswa Maha Vidhyalaya" ... which teaches Hinduism ...
At present, this institute in Kanchipuram is what i can think of when i say a "Gurukul" ... in addition to the other "gurukul" in the movie "mohabattein" !
I agree with your second comment, surely if people are not fit enough to do a job, no point in giving them a job !
